The bug reporter want behaviour in gnome-terminal similar to xterm when it
comes to scrolling back the buffer when one have a screen attached.

In xterm this works like, 
1, Print some screenfulls of ls -l, 
2, Attach a running screen, screen -r
3, Press Shift+PageUp, you see the buffer including the ls -l output of step 1.

In gnome-terminal, step 3 does not work. For more details, see the original bug
report.
