Hi,

If possible, could you try the gnome-terminal version from the
experimental archive and see if it also crash?

You could also try to get a backtrace of the crash, here's a short
tutorial, http://wiki.debian.org/?HowToGetABacktrace

There are a few crashes related to profiles in upstream bugzilla, it
would be good if we could match this with one of them.

By the way, are you running metacity or another window manager?
