Same problem with 2.10.12-1.

The problem disappears if I use that. But it reappears if I use

gtk-font-name="DejaVu Sans 10"

Similarly, the problem appears with "Bitstream Vera Sans 10", but not
with "Bitstream Vera Sans 9". So, this appears to be related to the
font size.
