Bug#335215: Local fs is no problem

Custom Kernel 2.6.22.10

1. Create new file a.txt on CIFS filesystem.
2. Edit: Add some text.
3. Save file.
OK
4. Edit: Change text.
5. Save file.
Warning: The file /.../a.txt has been modified since reading it. If you save it, all the external changes could be lost. Save it anyway?
6. Click on "Save Anyway".
gedit hangs, no refresh.

An empty .gedit-save-ABCDEF has been created.

Stock Debian Kernel linux-image-2.6.22-3-686 2.6.22-5

Error: Could not save the file /.../a.txt.

After failed operation, no .gedit-save-* file is visible.

On local filesystem XFS it works.
Saving a new file does work the first time even on CIFS filesystem, so it is another bug.
