Does reinstalling gnome-screensaver fix the issue? If not, and if
your /usr/share/gconf/schemas/gnome-screensaver.schemas file looks
correct, your system GConf database might be corrupt. You can rebuild it
using "gconf-schemas --register-all" as root.
