Please report problems with totem against totem ! Now we don’t know
which versions of the dependencies you have installed.

Do you have gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg installed? Which version?

Is this problem recent? There have been no changes in gnome-vfs
regarding SMB support for quite some time. If it only happens with
certain kinds of files, and not certain kinds of URIs, then it means the
issue is in the codecs, not in the VFS.
