Up to now: yes!
But currently I am only hacking code with vim, compiling it (ggc, make) 
and look at my targets with telnet or kermit.
I work in the gnome-terminal and use xterm.
Other programms running: Icedove, Iceweasel, some messengers.

Yes every keypress is posted correct.

Not to my knowledge.

BUT!! What I just found out:
Starting gcalctool as root (I was logged in as root to grep through 
dpkg.log) and I have _NO_ problems with that keys.
