Thank you Josselin for responding,

$ gconftool -R /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http
	needs_terminal = false
	command = gnome-www-browser %s
	enabled = true

$ whereis gnome-www-browser
	gnome-www-browser:

$ apt-cache search gnome-www-browser
	epiphany-gecko - Intuitive GNOME web browser - Gecko version
	epiphany-webkit - Intuitive GNOME web browser - webkit version
	galeon - GNOME web browser for advanced users
	icedove-gnome-support - Support for Gnome in Icedove
	iceweasel-gnome-support - Support for GNOME in Iceweasel

$ sudo apt-get install icedove-gnome-support iceweasel-gnome-support
	0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

$ dpkg -S gnome-www-browser
	dpkg: *gnome-www-browser* not found.

I have no gnome-www-browser on my system. I do have x-www-browser that
opens iceweasel and can be set by the alternative system.

whereis x-www-browser
	x-www-browser: /usr/bin/x-www-browser ...

dpkg -S x-www-browser
	app-install-data: /usr/share/app-install/desktop/lxde-x-www-browser.desktop

Is it possible to add some sort of fall-back function to use
x-www-browser instead of gnome-www-browser?

Kind regards,

Jelle
