Subject: gnome-keyring: couldn't connect to daemon at $GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET
Package: gnome-keyring
Version: 2.26.0-1
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

Dear Debian folks,

since yesterday, so it could be related to the upgrade

gnome-keyring 2.24.1-2 -> 2.26.0-1

on Tuesday, I have been experiencing that after using Evolution for some
time it suddenly was asking for my passwords and the following was
display on the terminal (Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt = connection
refused).

        ** (evolution:19966): WARNING **: couldn't connect to daemon at $GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET: /tmp/keyring-WG1s7l/socket: Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt
        ** (evolution:19966): WARNING **: couldn't communicate with gnome keyring daemon via dbus: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

        ** (evolution:19966): WARNING **: couldn't connect to daemon at $GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET: /tmp/keyring-WG1s7l/socket: Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt

        ** (evolution:19966): WARNING **: couldn't communicate with gnome keyring daemon via dbus: Failed to execute program gnome-keyring-daemon: Success

        ** (evolution:19966): WARNING **: couldn't communicate with gnome keyring daemon via dbus: Failed to execute program gnome-keyring-daemon: Success

        ** (evolution:19966): WARNING **: couldn't connect to daemon at $GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET: /tmp/keyring-WG1s7l/socket: Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt

Do you have an idea about what might be the reason? I only found [1] in
the Debian BTS which seems not related.

$ gnome-keyring-daemon -s

** (gnome-keyring-daemon:7093): WARNING **: couldn't connect to daemon
at $GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET: /tmp/keyring-WG1s7l/socket: Verbindungsaufbau
abgelehnt
** Message: couldn't set environment variable in session: The name
org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files
GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET=/tmp/keyring-PtSLlp/socket
SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/tmp/keyring-PtSLlp/socket.ssh
GNOME_KEYRING_PID=7094

Deleting the files in /tmp, starting gnome-keyring-daemon and setting
the environment variable GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET let Evolution use GNOME
Keyring again.

Thanks,

Paul
