Bug#560209: Please split package and separate libgvfscommon0

Package: gvfs
Version: 1.4.1-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

it is common packaging style to put non-private libraries into a separate package. The package libgnome2-0 depends on gvfs only because it depends on libgvfscommon.so.0. Splitting this library into a separate package would thus reduce the install size for those users that do not actually use Gnome but only applications that happen to link to libgnome2.
The dependency of libgnome2-0 on gvfs could then be reduced to a recommends.

Thanks,

HS
