Bug#511071: nautilus: "trash:" is empty even though there are many files in the trash

Navigating to "trash:" in nautilus or using the trash applet shows an empty trash can. I have tons of files under "~/.local/share/Trash though. Right-clicking a file and selecting move to trash is still moving them there so I'm pretty sure the trash location hasn't changed.

Also, this worked at some point in the past, but it hasn't worked for a while and I don't really remember what changed.
