My graphics card:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G72M [Quadro NVS
110M/GeForce Go 7300] (rev a1)
I'm currently using the nv X driver (1:2.1.10-1) but the problem also
appears with the nvidia non-free driver (173.14.09-5).
However, trying to restart the X server with CTRL+ALT+Backspace has no
effect.
Also, I recently noticed that the problem only appears when the user
that had first logged-in disconnects. After that, the other user can log
in through the gdm screen but then, another password window (the one
which appears when the screen is locked) appears along with a system bip.

Thanks,

Denis
