gnome url icon discussion (not a bug report)

someone said this may not be a bug-- it has to do with the idea of how bookmark desktop icons are handled. it may be a bug.. if so, please let me know, and i'll file a bug :)..

the idea is to have iceweasel open my desktop bookmark icon (i like to keep just a few on the deskop :)..  the desktop bookmark icon/s are created by dragging the icon beside the url field in iceweasel and placed onto the desktop.

here's the problem-> clicking on the desktop bookmark icon does not ever open iceweasel, but the gnome browser instead (pref apps checked.. update-alternatives gnome-www-browser updated to point to iceweasal-- and i even restarted x)..

is this still on a wishlist or something? (like a static built)..
