Bug#531485: evince{, -gtk}: does not render parts of (Xe)TeX documents

Hi.

I have a problem that I'm seeing in both evince and evince-gtk, with
both:

* Debian's sid evince-gtk on powerpc;
* Ubuntu's jaunty evince on amd64.

The problem is that, when I'm trying to read the PDF file
/usr/share/doc/texlive-xetex/xelatex/fontspec/fontspec.pdf there are
large parts of the text that are completely blank, but do have content.

If I view the document with xpdf (under both distributions and both
platforms), then I can see everything, as it was intended to be.

BTW, I get a lot of error messages on my terminal, once I start
evince. I am attaching a compressed log of it to this message, as it is
much too big uncompressed.
