Bug#532462: gok: displays empty frame, doesn't do keyboard

When starting gok via menu or from command line, an empty frame appears
at the bottom of the screen and an empty dialog box appears at mid-screen
but nothing is displayed and no keys or menu events are available. gok can
then be killed only via CLI kill.

When starting from command line:
