Bug#534204: evince: gradients in beamer slide titles are displayed wrong, but xpdf/okular displays it perfectly

If I use evince to view slides created using the beamer latex package,
the gradient in the slide title looks wrong.

For example try viewing this file in evince, and look at the 2nd slide:

See the attachments:
 evince.png: how it looks like in evince, gradient is not a gradient, but has
   vertical white stripes
 okular.png / xpdf.png: how it looks like when viewed with okular or xpdf, in
   both cases the gradient looks perfect

Since all these programs use poppler, this must be a bug in evince,
or the glib bindings for poppler.

You can reproduce the gradient artifacts by viewing this file included in the
latex-beamer package:
/usr/share/doc/latex-beamer/examples/a-conference-talk/beamerexample-conference-talk.pdf.gz

In this case there are horizontal white stripes, which are not that annoying,
   but they are still wrong.
