I second this feature request, in my case I have video files that on local disk
have thumbnail but when I copy it to a removable hard disk, nautilus hangs when
generating the thumbnail and I have to press STOP, but even after that the file
doesn't show up in nautilus view (I can see it with ls command), so in this
case I'd want to disable thumbnail creation for removable device.
