Bug#506506: Another very similar phenomenon

Today, at 9:52 am local time, gome-terminal crashed precisely at the moment
that I clicked the 'OK' button in the 'Choose Palette Color' window of
gnome-terminal. This is a repeat of the phenomenon that lead to my initial
bug report. At this moment my Canopy wireless connection to the Internet
is down, so arrival of this message will be delayed at least several hours
until the snow storm subsides, and my ISP can get someone to climb their
tower.

I think the bug report should not be cancelled. I am still willing to do
some sort of debug tracing, but I think that I need someone to take the
lead in telling me what to do, exactly. Remember that in the minds of the
ignorant, there is much more ambiguity in some statements than there is
in the minds of the cogniscent. In these matters, I am ignorant.

I think that it has been established that what I was trying before the
rebuild of my system was not going to work. Tell me whether this is
wrong, or not.

When you read this, my link to the outside world must have been
re-established. And, it might be down again by the time you try to
respond. Be patient, please.

Also, I have not installed bug-buddy. It was while I was working that
issue that my old installation of Gnome/Lenny collapsed and died.

I have established to my satisfaction that I can survive such a
collapse, and rise again from the dead. I can try again to install
bug-buddy, but only as part of a rational plan. Can you suggest a
rational plan?
