It downloads in mp4 format if available when given the proper option,
which is done by the video downloader extension.

This is probably related to the proxy support, which is fixed in 2.24.1.

As you say it works, I will also relax the dependency, but please be
aware that you need to get these issues fixed in clive, since version
0.4.18 is not available anymore in squeeze.
