Package: mutter
Version: 2.28.1~git20091024-1
Severity: important

Since I have installed it, mutter has never been usable. When I run it, my
whole screen is refreshed only every ~5 seconds. I can move windows, resize
them, interact with them, but I can only see the effects of my actions few
seconds later. The mouse cursor is the only thing which is refreshed normally.
Even animated icons as the Network-Manager ones are only refreshed every ~5
seconds.

Metacity, openbox and compiz are working fine. I can reproduce the same effect
with compiz if I check the option
"/apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/sync_to_vblank" which is described as
"Only perform screen updates during vertical blanking period".

I have not seen anything special in the .xsession-errors file.

My graphic card is an Inter i915.

Antoine
