Balsa versions 2.4.x link against Gmime-2.4. Version 2.4.0 was released
on May 25 and 2.4.1 on August 9. The Glib and Gtk dependencies were
bumped at the same time (to 2.16 and 2.14, respectively), to clean out
much compatibility code.

HTH!
