The libgksu-gconf-defaults alternative now points to

/usr/share/libgksu/debian/gconf-defaults.libgksu-sudo

But it did not point there a few minutes ago...
which was the problem. I must have messed up the link while configuring
some alternatives.
The strange thing is that the error turned up only now and not earlier.
Package gconf2 installs fine now.

Thank you very much for your help! I would never have found the cause.

You can close the bug - sorry for filing a report as the error was
obviously on my side.
