normally when taking screenshot, file name has a counter suffix which is 1 if there is no already such a file. very often i make screenshot on desktop and than place it somewhere else, so when making later new screenshot it has same suffix and if put to same directory that last screenshot there is name collision.

my suggestion is to use last used value for new screenshots like cameras do on SD cards.
