Bug#573035: transparent figures in PDFs come out as black boxes when printed with evince

Package: evince
Version: 2.28.2-1
Severity: normal

PDFs with transparent figures, such as the e-tickets from bahn.de,
latex produces PDFs with transparent PNGs, etc. all comes out black
when printed with evince.

For example, I have attached the scanned the printed output of the document:

(if the link is broken, try the "Judea Pearl, Causality" link here:
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/issue/5617-2005-998309997-611936
)

This is printing to HP LaserJet printers attached to a cups server,
it's broken several different color and non-color printers I have
tried.

The documents print ok with xpdf or kpdf. This has been broken for at
about a year now.
