If that’s the case, it’s probably caused by D-Bus upgrades. Since this
retarded daemon is not able to restart without killing all connections,
you basically need to at least log out and login again, and sometimes to
reboot, every time it is upgraded.

Note that your problem can also be caused by bad consolekit setup.
Especially, if you don’t login through GDM, you need to install
libpam-ck-connector.
