The current gnome package pulls in gnash via the Mozilla plugin. This
has had a dramatically negative effect on the stability of my system -
with at least some of the web pages I visit gnash appears to have a very
severe memory leak which rapidly drives my system into swap, causing it
to become almost completely unresponsive to user input and rendering it
unusuable.
I will be reporting a bug on gnash shortly, but given this and other
issues which people have reported in gnash it really seems like it
should be at most a Recommends:.
