Hi,

I'm hit by this bug as well on a squeeze system. It happens either when
opening my gnome-session (in this case I restart gdm and next login is OK)
or after some time when opening a GTK file requester.
In this case, the application opening the requester hangs and CPU usage
goes to 100%, not by the application itself, but by dbus-daemon,
udisks-daemon and gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor (the latter continously
respawning itself). The only way out I found (apart from exiting the
gnome session entirely and logging in again) is restarting dbus from
a root console (but then gnome-screensaver and the notification icons
don't work anymore).

I found some reference on Google claiming it may be caused by unmounted
disk partitions (I have a few unmounted partitions for alternate system
and backups) but this shouldn't break your desktop like this.
