Bug#628858: gdm3: please document how to disable greeter sound

Hi,

I used to disable the greeter beep using the following:

$ grep sound /etc/gdm3/greeter.gconf-defaults
/desktop/gnome/sound/event_sounds false

Since the upgrade to 3.0.4-1, it does not work anymore. Digging through the
changelog led me to try adding the following in /etc/gdm3/greeter.gsettings:

    [org.gnome.desktop.sound]
    event-sounds=false

... which does not work either.

Am I missing somthing?
