Bug#617330: nautilus: compact view: clicking folder when column has a long name favours wrong side

This is something that's been in nautilus since compact view was added. it's
REALLY annoying.

When your window has a folder name that goes past the edge of the window and
you click any folder in that column, nautilus will shift the view to the end of
the longest folder in the column.

When you have a really long folder name and a really short folder name in the
same column this is when the problem arises.

STEPS:
-you want to get open a folder called "folder"
-there's a folder below that folder called
"thisfolderisreallylongsoigoofftheedgeofthewindow"
-click "folder"
-the view moves to the right where "folder" isn't visible anymore.
-if there is another folder the same length and you click that it goes back to
the left.

It drives me absolutely insane! It should always move to the left side or not
move at all.
