Bug#578869: gnome-settings-daemon: Crashes after removing external monitor

gnome-settings-daemon crashes every time after I remove the external monitor attached to the laptop _and_ run 'xrandr -q'. Re-starting gnome-settings-daemon crashes the whole 
session and restarts gdm.

gnome-display-properties does not seem to cause this, but xrandr is faster to use in many cases.
