Hi,

I recently got aware of the fact that there seems to be a lot of
confusion on the net regarding optical disc burning with Brasero in
Debian/Ubuntu because of #580873, #580874 and #590961.

This has lead to a lot of bug reports[1-6] which are most likely
duplicates of #580874 and even to Ubuntu disabling Brasero's plugin
version check completely for lucid[7] and maverick[8]. IMHO this is not
necessary and backporting the fix for #590961 would have been the better
solution.

Hopyfully this mail makes the situation more clear. If not, don't
hesitate to ask!

Best regards

Alexander Kurtz
