In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:

1) Adds autogen to Depends, which allows the user to create a new project.  Otherwise, the user is prompted that autogen is required and it won't continue.

2) Fixes a libgtk3-dev/libgtk-3-dev typo in debian/control

3) Updates SHVER in debian/rules, since 3.0.0 is gtk3 based and uses new package name.
