Bug#649363: Desktop freezes when trying to display certain dialog windows

Package: mutter
Version: 3.2.1-2

When trying to invoke certain dialog windows (observed eg. with
Empathy Help->About or Seahorse Help->About), the desktop freezes
almost completely - the mouse can move, but no reaction on key presses
or mouse clicks. One has to switch to the console and restart the gdm
or kill the application.

When just the application is killed, a rectangle (probably a relic of
the About window that previously failed to display) keeps displayed
always-on-top on all desktops.

Observed with nVidia drivers 290.06 .
