bug 607000 libgdk-pixbuf2.0-dev: /usr/lib/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.la is not shipped in the package

I have confirmed that this is also a problem on the a 64bit architecture
after running a 'dist-upgrade' on my desktop to wheezy/testing. I understand
that this is probably a relatively low priority, as you can apt-get install
gtkpod, but it doesn't have support for ogg/vorbis, and as an experienced
developer for sourcefire myself, I would be interested in being involved in
addressing this issue.

I would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction to start
unraveling this packaging issue.
