I tried several themes and none worked. It works fine with Adwaita 
indeed (didn't try that one because...), but that theme is not really my 
taste... (way too grayish...) This may be due to "This theme will not 
look as intended because the required window manager theme 'Adwaita' is 
not installed." warning I get when I try to select it. Not very clear 
which package contains that, though, as I have gnome-themes-standard 
installed.
