   * What led up to the situation? I pressed shift-F10, shortcut I used on gnome2 to open a contextual menu. I did that in Applications menu, where I went to via alt-F1.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)? I tried Escape, nothing. Everything is frozen.

   * What was the outcome of this action? Everything frozen.

   * What outcome did you expect instead? Some [Dmenu, or just nothing but I can
go on working... etc
