Dear Michael,

I've got time to investigate more this issue and come to the following conclusion:

1) Bug is not related to driver: Changing nvidia/nouveau drivers does not remove the issue
2) Bug seems to be related to dual mode monitor
2.1) Bug always happens on workstation with dual monitor
2.2) Bug appears on laptop when plugging an external monitor and using in dual monitor mode
2.3) Bug seems to not be related to nvidia HW as we can see in above reports other HW types (ATI, ...).
3) Bug does not happen with gnome2.4, so this is a regression in gnome3

Now, are you fine to release Wheezy with such a regression. You can argue using dual monitor is not commons, but I'm sure that most companies, today, provide a dual monitor workstation.

Cheers,
