I assume you used apt-get dist-upgrade?
Imo this is not a bug which can be fixed in gnome-dbg in any way.
Bringing the apt maintainers into the loop. Maybe they have an idea why
the upgrade fails and what can be done about this.
Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the
universe are pointed away from Earth?
