Your bug report is incomplete and I'm not sure whether I understand what your
actual problem is. If I understand correctly, you have some videos that play
in VLC but don't play in totem?

Do you have any error messages? Are there any particular files that cannot be
played back? Can you link to a sample file where it doesn't work?

I just tried the totem package from unstable/testing and it works fine with
a standard mkv file. I'm therefore marking version 3.22.1-1 as unaffected.
