Bug#939161: gdm3: blank screen when booting without firmware-linux-nonfree

Package: gdm3
Version: 3.30.2-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainers,

after the install of the Gnome desktop (with non-free enabled repos) the
system seems to be stuck after the boot when GDM3 should take over. A blank
screen with a blinking cursor is showing instead.

I then switched to a Terminal via ALT+F2 and installed the package
firmware-linux-nonfree. As soon as the system detected the firmware
everything loaded as expected.
