I believe this will be fixed with mutter 43~rc. We may upload
gnome-shell and mutter 43 to Unstable as soon as next week. However,
many packaged GNOME Shell extensions will need to be updated or
removed. See https://bugs.debian.org/1018118 for more details.

You won't be able to stay on 42~beta-1+b1 because of the ongoing
evolution-data-server/libsoup3 transition. Sorry for the
inconvenience.
