Previously I think I had worked around it by using the Adwaita theme<BR>
instead of Clearlooks, which rendered the tabs with a diagonal line<BR>
on the left hand side and (I believe) highlighted the tab with the <BR>
current focus but that no longer works and I have no idea <BR>
which component changed to cause the failure. The transition<BR>
to Gnome/GTK 3 seems to be breaking things along the way.
