I'm quite surprise to see this bug closed, which is basicly a documentation
fix, after four years of no activity.

Notice that my request was (1) to change upstream's FAQ and (2) to complement
the README.Debian file. If upstream does not want to change the FAQ you could
still provide more information in README.Debian.

The text I provided for README.Debian could be improved, but I'm surprised
that instead of fixing it it is diregarded.

I suggest the following text for README.Debian instead of the one
originally provided:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Debian does not include IDEA
----------------------------

Debian cannot include the IDEA module in the Gnupg package due to patent
issues, no Debian packages will be provided by the project including this
algorithm due to its world-wide nature (as the patent covers a number of
countries, see US patent 5,214,703, EPO patent 0482154). If you need IDEA for
decrypting please read the FAQ (item ' How do I include support for RSA and
IDEA?'). For more information also please read
http://www.gnupg.org/faq/why-not-idea.en.html
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Since when is information (documentation) useful to end-users something
not worth including?

Regards

Javier
