Actually, I think I had intended to have the HURD_CONF to be one line
earlier (so that it would be a rule-specific variable, instead of a
global one).  Either fix would work, I guess.

We're currently in the process on doing a GNUstep library transition,
and since Hurd isn't a release architecture for Debian, I'd like to hold
off fixing this bug until the transition is done.

However, I would definitely be interested in hearing about how well
GNUstep works under Hurd.
