Hi Andreas,

After making this change I actually tried to use cdbs-edit-patch, and it
doesn't work well with the svn-buildpackage system (at least as I have
it set up).

I have hacked together a script to make it work, that creates a
temporary copy of the unpacked source, uses cdbs-edit-patch in it, then
transfers the modifications back to the original working copy. 

If you'd be interested in this (it was very useful making all of those
man page patches) I could commit it to the repository and modify the
README to mention this script instead. 

I think it might be useful to have a directory in the repo for this sort
of thing (I have a couple more scripts that may or may not turn out to
be useful), scripts/ or tools/ or something. What do you think?
