Sorry I was batting  for the other team on that one. I may not agree  that church  doctrine is true, but it's inescapable  that a  literal reading of Adam and Eve  is foundational to LDS theology and doctrine.

For me  it's like arguing about  what is and isn't canon in Star Wars.  Han  Solo absolutely shot first, but that doesn't mean I think George Lucas is a starfaring timetraveller producing documentaries.
