<div dir="ltr">Should we take this chance to rename the team to “go-teamâ€?<div><br></div><div>The pkg- prefix was originally taken to be consistent with pkg-perl and pkg-python, and then kept to disambiguate the go compiler packaging team and the go application packaging team.</div><div><br></div><div>Given that the compiler team is a small handful of people, and the application team is quite large, I think it’s fair the application team should get the shortest name.</div><div><br></div><div>Given salsa’s team restrictions (team must end in “-teamâ€), I think “go-team†is both descriptive and short.
