Hi Neil,

Are you interested in taking over gpe-icons maintainance, or just in
updating it now?

In any case, it might be better to file a bug on gpe-icons requesting an
update, and attach a patch to that bug. Then, if nothing happens for a
while, you could NMU it with that patch.

I think that it's important to make the problem public. Private mails
are easier to miss.
