Bug#636967: hdf5: error exit from dpkg-gensymbols

Justification: fails to build from source

Hello:

I have just tried to build hdf5 on my Wheezy box,
but unfortunately the building process stops with
as error meesages:

dh_makeshlibs: dpkg-gensymbols -plibhdf5-7 -Idebian/libhdf5-7.symbols -Pdebian/libhdf5-7 returned exit code 1
make: *** [binary-arch] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: error: fakeroot debian/rules binary gave error exit status 2
debuild: fatal error at line 1340:
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -D -us -uc -j4 failed

I do not know what to do next to help further.
