Bug#652084: gosmore use 100% CPU and does nothing

Hi,

I have the exact same issue. It may be visible only on 64 bits release.

Actually I tried to recompile the svn HEAD version, and it does the
same as long as -O2 flag is provided.
I guess there is a memory corruption somewhere. valgrind output some
errors. Moreover I've reporter another invalid memory access a few
hours ago.
